Not an Emergency ServiceExpedition Genie is NOT an emergency service.The Service must never be relied upon in life-threatening or emergency situations.Expedition Genie is not:a rescue servicean emergency response systema medical providera search and rescue authoritya navigation authoritya weather authorityAI-generated responses may be:incorrectincompleteoutdateddelayedmisleadingIf you are in an emergency situation, you must contact local emergency services, search and rescue, or appropriate authorities immediately.By using the Service, you acknowledge that relying on Expedition Genie during an emergency could result in serious injury or death, and you accept full responsibility for that risk.4. Use at Your Own RiskOutdoor recreation, remote travel, mountaineering, rafting, backcountry travel, and wilderness expeditions involve inherent and unpredictable risks, including but not limited to:severe weatheravalancheswildlife encountersnavigation errorsequipment failureinjury or deathYou acknowledge and agree that:You are solely responsible for your decisions in the field.Expedition Genie does not supervise or guide your activities.Information provided by the Service may be inaccurate.You assume all risks associated with your use of the Service.5. Artificial Intelligence LimitationsThe Service uses artificial intelligence systems to generate responses.AI systems may:produce incorrect informationmisunderstand user requestshallucinate or fabricate informationfail to consider important real-world conditionsExpedition Genie does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any response.You are solely responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.6. Limitation of LiabilityTo the maximum extent permitted by law, Expedition Genie LLC and its founders, members, employees, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to:personal injurydeathproperty damagelost profitslost dataexpedition failuresbusiness interruptionindirect or consequential damagesarising out of or related to:use of the Servicereliance on AI-generated responsesdelays or failures in message deliverysatellite connectivity issuesIf liability is found despite this limitation, the maximum liability of Expedition Genie shall not exceed the total amount you paid to the Company during the three (3) months preceding the claim.7. Satellite & Network LimitationsThe Service depends on third-party telecommunications systems.Expedition Genie is not responsible for failures caused by:satellite outagessignal lossnetwork congestiondelayed message deliverydevice malfunctionscarrier restrictionsThe Service may be unavailable at any time.8. Acceptable UseYou agree not to use the Service to:violate any lawharass or threaten othersdistribute illegal materialattempt to reverse engineer or exploit the systemoverload or abuse the platformtransmit harmful or malicious contentThe Service must not be used to request, search for, or distribute illegal content, including but not limited to:child sexual abuse material (CSAM)human exploitation contentinstructions for criminal activityillegal trafficking or harmAccounts engaging in such behavior will be immediately terminated.9. Account Suspension and TerminationWe reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, including if we believe a user has:violated these Termsengaged in illegal activityattempted to abuse the systemused the Service in a harmful or inappropriate wayIf an account is terminated for violations of these Terms:No refunds will be issued.We may also report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.10. Payments and SubscriptionsSubscriptions may be processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe.By subscribing, you agree that:subscription fees will be charged according to your selected plansubscriptions may auto-renew unless canceledyou are responsible for managing your billing settingsFailure to pay may result in suspension of access.11. Intellectual PropertyAll technology, software, branding, and content associated with Expedition Genie are the property of Expedition Genie LLC.You may not:copymodifyreproducedistributereverse engineerany portion of the Service without written permission.12. IndemnificationYou agree to indemnify and hold harmless Expedition Genie LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or legal costs arising from:your use of the Serviceyour reliance on AI-generated responsesyour violation of these Termsyour outdoor activities or expedition decisions13. Governing LawThese Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.Any legal disputes must be resolved in courts located within Idaho.14.
